Wunderbook alternative
Olladay vs Wunderbook.
Both are Irish, free for the business, and pay you through your own Stripe account. Your customer pays the fee on both. Wunderbook adds 2% at checkout, which is less than our €0.49 on a seat under €24.50. Olladay shows its flat €0.49 inside the price from the first screen, lets guests book without an account, and can run on your own web address. Or pay 1% yourself and your customer pays exactly your price.

“Not listed on their site” means we couldn’t find it on Wunderbook’s public pages, not that it doesn’t exist. If you spot something out of date, email hello@olladay.com and we’ll fix it.
A flat fee in the price, or 2% at checkout
Wunderbook is free for the business because the customer pays: its onboarding page describes “a simple 2% booking fee, paid by users, not you” (Wunderbook). That keeps your costs at zero, which is a fair deal for a lot of venues.
The catch is at checkout. Your timetable says €20, and the total says €20.40. It’s a small number, but it arrives at the last step, where people decide whether to pay. Ireland’s consumer regulator says “There should be no hidden charges” and that any extra charges must be made clear (CCPC). Regulars who book every week also pay that fee every week.
On Olladay the booking fee is a flat €0.49 a place, and it’s already inside every price your customer sees, from your timetable to the payment page: “€20.49 incl. €0.49 booking fee”. Nothing is added at the last step, and there’s no fee at all on bookings paid with a pack, membership or voucher, so your weekly regulars don’t pay it. On a €20 seat Wunderbook’s fee is 9 cent less; on a €50 private hire your customer pays 51 cent less on Olladay. If you’d rather your customers paid nothing extra, pay 1% yourself.
| €20 session | €50 private hire | Who pays the fee | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Olladay, Free for you | €20.49 | €50.49 | The customer, shown in the price |
| Olladay, you pay | €20.00 (€0.20 to you) | €50.00 (€0.50 to you) | The business |
| Wunderbook | €20.40 | €51.00 | The customer, added at checkout |
Stripe card processing comes on top on both, paid by the business.
Where Olladay goes further
- Guests book without an account. Name, email and Apple Pay or a card, on any phone, with no app to download.
- Your own web address. Take bookings at an address like book.yoursauna.ie, free on every plan, or put the timetable on your website.
- The whole price on the first screen. The €0.49 is inside every price from your timetable to the payment page, so nothing changes at the last step.
- Private hire without double-selling. Shared seats and whole-sauna private hire sell from one pool, and private hire is offered only while the sauna is empty.
- Every guest signs. Each guest agrees to your health terms on their own phone, and you keep a record of the exact text.
- Texts, with Pro. Booking confirmations, reminders and waitlist offers by text, 300 a month included with Olladay Pro.
- You choose who pays. Free for you with the fee in the price, or 1% a booking paid by you (0.5% for life for our first 50 founding venues). Switch at any time.
Where Wunderbook may suit you better
- Most of your bookings are cheap single sessions, under €24.50 a place, where 2% comes to a few cent less than €0.49.
- You want customers to discover you in an app. Wunderbook has a consumer app for finding local gyms, saunas and studios. Olladay is built for direct bookings on your own link.
- You value a longer track record. Wunderbook has been running longer and shows customer stories on its site. Olladay is newer.

Questions
Moving from Wunderbook: questions.
Is Wunderbook free?
For the business, yes: Wunderbook says it has no monthly subscription, setup fee or contract. Its support page says customers pay a 2% booking fee on each booking instead, and the business pays Stripe’s processing fee (Wunderbook support, checked 12 October 2026).
What does Olladay cost compared with Wunderbook?
Both are free for the business with no monthly fee, and the customer pays a booking fee. Wunderbook’s is 2% of the price, so it grows with it: €0.40 on a €20 session, €1.00 on a €50 private hire. Olladay’s is a flat €0.49 a place, shown inside the price from the start. Below €24.50 a place Wunderbook’s fee is lower; above it, Olladay’s is. Or you can pay 1% yourself on Olladay and your customer pays exactly your price.
Can I move from Wunderbook to Olladay?
Yes. Export your customers from Wunderbook, then import customers, pack balances, memberships and upcoming bookings into Olladay from a CSV. Every row is checked before it goes live, and you can run both systems side by side until you’re ready to swap your booking link.
Does Olladay have memberships, session packs and gift vouchers like Wunderbook?
Yes. Olladay sells session packs, memberships that renew every month or 28 days and gift vouchers, and has waitlists, reminders and per-guest health terms. It adds discount codes and off-peak prices.
Which is better for saunas?
Both handle sauna slots. Wunderbook has a consumer app where people can discover venues. Olladay sells shared seats and private hire from one pool, lets guests book without an account, gets every guest to sign your health terms on their own phone, and shows the full price from the first screen. Your booking page can sit on your own web address.
