Acuity Scheduling alternative for saunas
Olladay vs Acuity for saunas.
Acuity is an appointment scheduler that many saunas bent into a timetable. Olladay is built for how a sauna actually sells: shared seats and private hire from one pool, storm closures with one note to everyone, a minimum to run, and a door code for every booking with Pro. There’s no dollar subscription for taking bookings: it’s free for you, with a €0.49 booking fee a place shown in your price. Or pay 1% a booking yourself, which is nothing in a closed month.
Paste your .as.me link and see your own sauna on an Olladay booking page in under a minute. Nothing to sign up for. Acuity facts checked against acuityscheduling.com on 12 October 2026.

Stop paying for January
Most saunas are seasonal. A subscription costs the same in a storm-shut February as a sold-out August. On Olladay you pay nothing on Free for you, and if you pay the fee yourself it follows the bookings: no bookings, no fee.
| Paid bookings that month | Olladay, Free for you | Olladay, you pay 1% | Acuity Standard (needed for packs and memberships) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Closed | €0.00 | €0.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
| €1,000 | €0.00 | €10.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
| €2,000 | €0.00 | €20.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
| €4,000 | €0.00 | €40.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
| €6,000 | €0.00 | €60.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
| €10,000 | €0.00 | €100.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
| €20,000 | €0.00 | €200.00 | $34 ($27 billed yearly) |
A typical year. A sauna taking €1,500 a month from November to February and €5,000 a month from March to October pays Olladay nothing on Free for you, or €230.00 for the year as a founding venue paying 0.5% itself. Acuity Standard costs $408 paid monthly, or $324 paid yearly.
To be fair to Acuity: if you pay the fee yourself at 1%, a month above about €3,000 of bookings costs more than its flat Standard plan. On Free for you, your customers pay €0.49 a place instead. Stripe card processing comes on top on both.
Built for a sauna, not a dentist’s diary
- Nothing sold twice. Shared seats, several session lengths and whole-sauna private hire sell from the same places. Private hire is offered only while the sauna is empty, and overlapping starts share capacity at the busiest moment.
- One note for a storm. Close a time or a whole weekend, write one note, and refund everyone, give credit, or move them all to a time with room. Every customer is emailed. No evening of texting.
- Don’t light the fire for two. Set a minimum to run. Customers see “needs 2 more”, a last-minute price can go out to regulars, and at the time you choose the session confirms or refunds itself.
- Every guest signs. Each guest agrees to your health terms on their own phone, with an emergency contact and a record of the exact text.
- Unstaffed? A code per booking. With Pro and a Seam or igloohome lock, each booking gets its own door code for its time only, changed when the booking moves.
- Fill the quiet slots. Off-peak prices, discount codes, waitlists, Instagram story images for every session and win-back emails at 3 and 8 weeks.
- Groups of four. One checkout for the whole group, with adult, child and concession tickets, and towel hire added on.
- Found by new people. Your sauna is listed free in Olladay’s directory of saunas across Ireland and the UK, with a Book button that goes straight to you.
Where Acuity may suit you better
- Most of your business is one-to-one appointments with staff calendars, such as massage or treatments, rather than timetabled sessions with shared places.
- You run a Squarespace website and want the scheduler built into it.
- You take well over €3,000 a month, want to pay the fee yourself and aren’t a founding venue, where a flat subscription may cost less than 1%.
- You want a long track record. Acuity has been around for years with a large support team. Olladay is newer, and the person who builds it answers your emails.
Switching from Acuity?
Paste your Acuity link. Your timetable is ready.
Olladay reads your public Acuity page, your appointment types with their lengths, prices and class sizes, and drafts your sauna timetable from it. Export your clients from Acuity, import them with pack balances and upcoming bookings, run both side by side, and swap your booking link when you’re happy. Members on renewing payments move with a free period until their next payment, so nobody is charged twice.

Questions
Acuity or Olladay: questions.
What does Acuity Scheduling cost?
Acuity is a monthly subscription priced in US dollars: Starter $20 a month, Standard $34 and Premium $61, or $16, $27 and $49 a month billed yearly. Packages, memberships, gift certificates, waitlists and text reminders start on Standard. Stripe or Square card fees are separate (Acuity pricing, checked 12 October 2026).
Is Olladay cheaper than Acuity for a sauna?
Yes. Olladay has no subscription. On Free for you it costs you nothing at all, and your customers pay a €0.49 booking fee a place, shown in your price. If you’d rather they paid nothing extra, you pay 1% a booking (0.5% for founding venues), so a closed month still costs nothing and a €3,000 month costs €30. Acuity Standard is $34 every month, open or not.
Can I move from Acuity to Olladay?
Yes. Paste your Acuity booking link (your .as.me or acuityscheduling.com address) at app.olladay.com/try and Olladay drafts your sessions, lengths, prices and places from it in under a minute. Then export your clients and upcoming appointments from Acuity (Acuity’s guide) and import the files exactly as Acuity gives them: Olladay reads Acuity’s columns, including package codes with their remaining uses. Run both side by side until you swap your booking link.
Does Olladay do private hire and shared seats like my Acuity setup?
Yes, from one pool. Sell shared seats and whole-sauna private hire for the same times: private hire is offered only while the sauna is empty, and a shared booking closes private hire for that time automatically. Nothing is sold twice.
Will my customers notice the switch?
They book with name and email, with no account or app, and pay with card, Apple Pay or Google Pay into your own Stripe account. On Free for you they see a €0.49 booking fee a place inside your price; pay 1% yourself and they pay exactly your price, as on Acuity. On switch day you swap the link in your Instagram bio, website and Google profile.
Is Acuity better for anything?
Yes: one-to-one appointments with staff calendars, such as massage or treatments, and businesses already running a Squarespace website. Acuity has also been around far longer. Olladay is built around timetabled sessions with shared places, which is how most saunas sell.
