How it works it out
- A month is 52 weeks ÷ 12, about 4.33 weeks.
- Sessions a week are sessions a day × days open. Private hires take sessions first; the rest sell shared seats at your average fill.
- Card fees are Stripe’s standard UK and EEA rate, 1.5% + €0.25 (1.5% + 20p in the UK), with one payment per seat or private hire. When your guests pay Olladay’s fee, Stripe charges on the price they pay, fee included.
- Olladay’s fee is 2.5% of each booking, VAT included, worked out on each seat and each private hire. When your guests pay it, it’s added to the price they see and costs your sauna nothing. When your sauna pays it, it comes off your takings. There’s no monthly charge, and heating that follows bookings, flash fill and add-ons are included.
- Firewood is your cost per session, for every session on the timetable. Electricity is heater power × pre-heat hours each day you open, plus heater power × heater time for every session, at your price per kWh.
- The heater runs for every session on the timetable, booked or not. That is what “heating that follows bookings” estimates saving.
- Not counted: rent, staff, insurance, tax, water, cleaning, towels and the cost of add-ons.
