Proposed launch pricing
Simple pricing: 2% per paid booking.
No monthly subscription. No setup fee. No booking fee for your customers. You pay a 2% platform fee only when someone books and pays.
Proposed terms for launch, confirmed in writing before your first live booking. Card processing is separate and the fee excludes VAT where applicable.
What a booking costs
Your customer pays the price you set. You pay 2% of it. Here is the same booking on Olladay, and on a platform that adds a 2% booking fee to the customer’s bill.
| Your price | Customer pays on Olladay | Olladay fee (you pay) | Customer pays where a 2% booking fee is added |
|---|---|---|---|
| €10.00 | €10.00 | €0.20 | €10.20 |
| €18.00 | €18.00 | €0.36 | €18.36 |
| €25.00 | €25.00 | €0.50 | €25.50 |
| €40.00 | €40.00 | €0.80 | €40.80 |
| €65.00 | €65.00 | €1.30 | €66.30 |
| €120.00 | €120.00 | €2.40 | €122.40 |
Fees are calculated once per booking and rounded to the nearest cent.
Percentage or subscription?
Many booking systems charge a flat monthly subscription instead. Published plans for well-known studio software start from around €70 a month per location, many cost more, and card processing is still extra. A percentage costs less in quiet months and more in busy ones.
| Paid bookings taken online per month | Olladay platform fee |
|---|---|
| €1,000 | €20 |
| €2,500 | €50 |
| €5,000 | €100 |
| €10,000 | €200 |
Rule of thumb: a €79 monthly subscription equals 2% of €3,950 in bookings. If you take less than that online each month, a 2% fee costs you less. If you take a lot more, tell us. We’d rather set fair terms than lose a good business.
Why your customers pay nothing extra
A fee added at the last step of checkout is the moment people hesitate. Irish shoppers are used to seeing the full price up front, and card surcharges on consumer cards have been banned in Ireland since 2018. Keeping the price on your timetable the same as the price at checkout is simpler for everyone. Read more in booking fees in Ireland, explained.
Pricing questions
The fine print, in plain words.
Who pays the 2%?
The business. Under the proposed launch terms your customer pays the price you set and no booking fee.
What about card processing?
Payments run through Stripe, which charges its own processing fee to your Stripe account. Stripe’s published rate for standard EEA cards in Ireland is 1.5% + €0.25; check stripe.com/ie/pricing for current rates. Every online booking tool pays a processor, whether it shows it or not.
Is there a monthly fee, setup fee or contract?
The proposed launch terms have no monthly subscription and no setup fee. Final terms are confirmed in writing before you take your first live booking.
Is VAT included?
No. The 2% fee excludes VAT where applicable.
Are free sessions charged?
No. Free bookings carry no platform fee.
What if I’m very busy?
At high volumes a flat subscription can work out cheaper than any percentage. If that’s you, say so when you join early access: we’re setting launch terms with our first businesses.
