Sauna booking software in Ireland and the UK compared.

Eight booking systems that saunas in Ireland and the UK actually use, compared on what matters most: what you pay each month, what you pay per booking, and whether your customer pays extra at checkout.

We make Olladay, so we’re not neutral. We’ve linked every competitor’s pricing source so you can check, and we say where another tool may suit you better. Prices change: these were checked on 12 October 2026.

Olladay

Irish booking software built for saunas and cold plunges. Free for the business by default: customers pay a flat €0.49 booking fee per paid place, included in every price they see, with none on packs, memberships or vouchers. Or the business pays 1% a booking instead (0.5% for life for the first 50 founding venues). No monthly fee. Includes shared seats and private hire from one pool, packs, renewing memberships, gift vouchers, minimum to run, storm closures, waitlists and import from other systems. Olladay Pro (€39 a location a month) adds texts, door codes per booking, heating control, a card reader, Xero and QuickBooks. Best for saunas that want to pay nothing, or choose who pays. Less suited to venues that want to pay the fee themselves: Session’s capped 0.5% costs less than Olladay’s 1%.

Wunderbook

An Irish booking system for wellness and fitness businesses: saunas, gyms, Pilates and yoga. Free for the business, with a 2% booking fee paid by customers (source). Has memberships, class packs and a consumer app for discovering venues. Best for venues that want the platform to cost them nothing. Watch for the extra 2% your customers see at checkout. See Olladay vs Wunderbook.

Session

Booking software built only for saunas and cold plunge studios, with a 0.5% fee per paid booking capped at €90 a month in Europe (Session pricing). Best for sauna venues outside Ireland, or those that want retail add-ons. See Olladay vs Session.

Acuity Scheduling

A US appointment scheduler owned by Squarespace, used by many Irish and UK saunas. A monthly subscription in dollars: $20, $34 or $61 a month, or $16, $27 or $49 billed yearly; packages, memberships, gift certificates and waitlists start on the $34 Standard plan (Acuity pricing). Best for one-to-one appointments with staff calendars. Watch for paying the full plan in months your sauna is closed. See Olladay vs Acuity.

Bookwhen

A UK-based tool for classes, courses and events with a free plan for low volumes and monthly plans above that (Bookwhen pricing). Best for small timetables that fit the free plan.

Fresha

Built for salons, spas and appointment businesses, with a marketplace that charges a commission on new clients it sends you (Fresha pricing). Best for one-to-one appointments rather than group sessions.

TeamUp

Gym and studio management with plans priced by the number of active customers (TeamUp pricing). Best for established gyms that want a full management suite and a predictable monthly cost.

Eventbrite

An event ticketing platform where buyers pay fees by default (Eventbrite pricing). Best for one-off events that benefit from Eventbrite’s audience. Less suited to weekly timetables and memberships.

How to choose

  1. Work out your monthly online bookings in euro.
  2. Price each option at that volume, including card processing.
  3. Decide whether your customer should ever pay more than your advertised price.
  4. Check the features you need today: packs, memberships, vouchers, waitlists.
  5. Ask each provider how you’d leave: can you export customers and bookings for free?

Questions

What is the cheapest booking software in Ireland?

It depends on volume and who you want to pay. Olladay and Wunderbook are both free for the business because customers pay a booking fee: Olladay a flat €0.49 a place shown in the price, Wunderbook 2% at checkout. Bookwhen has a free plan for low volumes. If the business pays, Olladay is 1% (0.5% for founding venues) and Session 0.5% capped at €90 a month.

Which booking systems add a fee to the customer’s bill?

Wunderbook adds a 2% booking fee for customers, and Eventbrite charges buyers a fee by default. Olladay’s default is a flat €0.49 a place, included in every price shown, or the business can pay 1% instead. Session, Bookwhen and subscription tools like TeamUp charge the business.

What should a sauna use?

Look for shared seats and private hire on one timetable, live seats left, payment at booking and your weather terms shown before payment. Olladay, Wunderbook and Session all target saunas.
